My fabulous clients at Coastal Heat Pumps called me after they moved into their new offices. The brilliant afternoon sun that poured into the space was too bright for their needs, and they asked me to provide sun deflection on their windows without darkening the room.

For the project natural light and sun deflection is achieved by this Hunter Douglas Designer Sheerweave Roller Shade. We love working with their Greenscreen Sea-Tex fabric because it offers 97% protection from sunlight, including UV rays, heat and glare, while maintaining natural light. A big plus: this unique fabric is manufactured from recovered shoreline plastic, which makes it practical and sustainable.

To date Hunter Douglas has reclaimed over 30 tons of washed ashore plastic and turned it into Sea-Tex Fabrics, which suitable for any environment requiring filtered daylight.
